featured image for posts

i'm using featured image term from wordpress

for nodebb, instead of showing user avatar on left side, show image of post instead

will this require many changes?

i enabled setting, assigned topic thumb to post and tried all default themes but unable to see it show up any where

Please try to reload/restart NodeBB and use Persona. Latest updates fixed it for Lavender and Vanilla themes.

@charles What's your NodeBB version? Persona theme had the support for topic thumbnails for a while now. Support was added to Vanilla & Lavender recently.

@charles is the file test.jpg available in the folder /uploads/files or you entered a url for the image in that textbox?

where should i see that thumbnail displayed? maybe i'm not looking at the right place

Is it possible for @julian @psychobunny @baris to enable topic thumbnail in testing ground category (https://community.nodebb.org/category/4/testing-ground) so the feature can be tested?

I confirmed this is a bug with all included themes for nodebb v1.0.0

If I switch to @pichalite's nodebb-theme-material the topic thumbnail does show instead of the user avatar.

@julian should a bug report be filed for each theme?

This is still an issue when I tested with new v1.0.2 install.

You need to enable uploading regular files in Admin.

It'll be fixed in NodeBB 1.0.3.

NodeBB v1.0.2, all themes
NodeBB v1.0.3-auto.0, all themes

Works on Material Design 2.6.4 and NodeBB 1.0.2.
