I am thinking about creating a replacement for pixel.infosec.exchange that uses mariadb instead of postgres and doesn't use docker to help the community out. Pixel has issues that I don't think I can fix because I created it with postgres.

@jerry iirc, mariadb isn't recommended now and instead it's mysql. (Though this is based on info that's about a year old now)

@thisismissem @jerry jesus, did they really engineer a case where MySQL outperforms MariaDB? I mean, the whole point of MySQL is to not work well and coerce you into paying for OracleDB instead...

@siguza @jerry MariaDB got bought by private equity firms iirc, which led to folks dropping it
