It's always so easy to blame women, isn't it?

@phaedral Thank you. A good historical reminder.

@Remittancegirl Thanks for making those good points. I myself made the choice to exit Twitter the day Musk took it over, and I have to say, I remain disappointed in the many people I respect who choose to remain there and feed the Musk fascist machine.

It just strikes me as kind of hypocritical.

@Mastopoet @chiraag Thank you. Yes, I know very well what neoliberalism is and what it stands for, and I have long been highly critical of the neoliberal project.

@Pettet50 I'm still looking at the 74,000,000 figure and at Trump winning the popular vote and don't intend to take my eyes off these facts.

@Remittancegirl I do find it disappointing.
-
@Voline @inthehands Sorry, but when people choose to descend to the level of personal insult and hateful taunts here, I stop engaging them and I mute them. Hope you'll understand.

@wdlindsy Me too.
There are quite a few of them. And I admire their writing and their ideas, but there remaining on X and contributing to the content generated on the platform kind of jars with their critiques of a lot of things.

HERE'S ANOTHER (disturbing) THOUGHT:If a sitting Potus can't be #impeached for ANY reason (including violating the #Constitution), what's to stop #OrangeHitler from dumping #Vance (before Vance "25th's" him) and appoint NON-citizen #Musk to the Vice Presidency?

@MugsysRapSheet With no guardrails, above all at the level of the Supreme Court, I think all kinds of heinous things are now possible.

@Remittancegirl I agree.

@Mastopoet @chiraag Thanks for providing me with that lecture. I fear you're telling me things I've long known.

I do NOT deserve this! I reject this blanket statement. -

@wdlindsy
He sought out the depraved, because that is who he is. He sought out and flattered the base & uninformed because he needs & craves adulation & followers. I don't believe it is intelligence. He was raised to be a greedy, self-centered person who denigrates all who he feels are beneath his status. He would never socialize with "his" people. Aaarrghh!!! -

No matter what @JoyceVance says, I always know she understands, and her views are spot on. -
@wdlindsy Is it a majority of whites⦠or is it a majority of the whites who actually voted? I want to find out b/c I find it important to note a third of Americans do not vote. They are that checked out. This is why we get trump. B/c of low-participation democracy.

@wdlindsy Yes, Elon Musk is the top welfare queen who depends on the largesse of the federal government. This is why trump and Project 2025 call for dissemination of career government workersβso they can put their own sycophants in charge.
