The new Pokémon TCG on mobile is a textbook example of completely meaningless user interaction... It takes so many taps to do anything, and each screen transition has anything from 500ms to 2s of lag. How the heck does this stuff get through play testing?

An example: buying a new card in the shop with tokens.
1. Tap the card, press buy
2. Confirm the purchase
Wait
3. Game shows you the card close up, you tap
Wait
5. Watch animation of card adding to collection
Wait
6. Game shows card close up, this time you swipe
Wait
7. Watch animation showing where the card is in your collection
Wait
8. Heat death of the universeSo much of this app has this same flow - repeating shit that doesn't matter, no meaningful way to skip, loading scene after scene
