@andycarolan That’s poor offering in this day and age.
-
@habibcham Honestly, around here, that’s the norm. They even charged me an extra 45p for the oat milk

@andycarolan That feels very wrong to me.

@ctt it felt wrong to my belly lol. Ended up going to a supermarket and buying a sad little wrap

@andycarolan I just feel in this day and age a business such as Costa should have vegan options. It is one thing to go into a steak restaurant expecting a vegan meal, but a coffee shop like Costa which will probably receive customers with the whole gamut of dietary requirements. (please excuse rant!)

@ctt I agree, it's not a steak house... I would understand them not having vegan options. They are at the very least punishing people who can’t/won't drink cow's milk, by charging them extra.
I wouldn't normally support Costa, as the experience is expensive and generally quite poor, but the actually awesome indie cafe was closed there today.
It makes more sense for me to make coffee at home, and take it with me in a keepcup... and pack a sandwich lol.

@andycarolan The nerve!! Full oatmilk carton is like 99p or just over a £ or something from Lidls! Daylight extortion.

@andycarolan I guess that I am saying that I see it as a form of prejudice. Unless a shop/cafe/etc is explicit about what it does and doesn’t sell, I believe that it should support or possible variations of what they sell, and charge equally - spread the cost/love.
-
@habibcham Yup, it almost feels like a punishment

@ctt The surcharge for non dairy milks does feel like a punishment. Add to that the fact that I couldn't even get food there as it all contained meat, cheese or other animal products.
