This is so lame, even for a dimwit fauxgressive. This the best you got to undermine and sabotage?
Weird, please...

@mekkaokereke so basically.
"Don't work to get the woman elected, it's not worth your time."
But if she's not elected, the USA goes to shit.
So many words to hide the true intent.
-
@mekkaokereke @MismanagedTalent You missed his point. He’s saying the experience is predictable, so don’t complain. And that it is sexist to expect this campaign to be different than the prediction. So either quit, or be warned now. But don’t write about it; it won’t be a revelation.

️You don't know enough Black people in leadership to understand my thread.
If you've never worked for a Black person who's been the "First Black person to do [X]," then get all the way out of my mentions.
I've been that 1st Black person. On many levels. I know what it takes. I sit on company boards of women CEOs, not to give them advice (they don't need it), but to defend them from this inevitable insurrection and sabotage. It always comes.

Shout out to all the white people that don't know enough Black people to understand my thread, going off half-cocked in my mentions.

@mekkaokereke @root whhhhy aren’t people understanding what you wrote.
It would be like I if wrote “Listen, driving from Boston to California with cats is rough. If you’re going to complain about cats yelling you shouldn’t drive them there.” And the whole internet was like “WE CAN GO TO CALIFORNIA IF WE WANT TO AND DONT TELL ME TO ABANDON MY CATS ANIMAL ABUSER!!”

"Don't show up to back stab the woman. Show up to get her elected. Don't complain if that's hard. Don't write a tell-all article about how hard done by you feel halfway through. If you're just there for the mid-point back-stabbing, GTFO."
HTH. Sigh. (I couldn't resist re-explaining. It's a weakness, I admit it.)

I really appreciate the Steve Jobs comparison. My husband, who is an Apple fanboy, has mentioned Harris' alleged problematic management style before, but doesn't understand that he's probably only hearing that due to sexist/racist coverage. Thanks for a data point that he might understand. -

@mekkaokereke [applause]
Exactly this.
Be a whiner, we don't care. We know what it takes to win an election, we know Harris knows, and we're with her, no matter what pettiness may come from someone "in the campaign*".
*Assuming that the writer actually is in the campaign vs. some media hacks trotting out misogynoir stereotypes.

These kinds of malign influence narratives appear with every female leader's compaign.
The stories about her appearing "tired", her inadequate dietary habits, her clothing being dated, etc start in 1, 2, 3...
Media outlets love their clichéd misogynistic take-down pieces.
This is the survival of democracy, not a reboot of "The Devil Wears Prada".

I am one of those whites who do not know enough Black people to easily deci9pher what you said, but when your first post made me think "WTF", I took the time to read the rest of what you posted, and the context connected, and now I get (mostly) what you are saying. -

I read the thread and I am happy to learn that Harris pushes for your next level of best, or the one after, that you did not know you have.
I needed to know that she and her campaign will not leave any crumb on the table to lament over the day after the election.The US needs a black woman as President, and I believe Harris is the right black woman at the right time, in the right place.
There are a lot of us who sorta want to take that step and join in. It's time to join in.

@mekkaokereke I thought I was prepared for this. You called it. But my head is still exploding at these "complaints" about Kamala Harris's management style in today's Washington Post.Maybe I missed their merger with The Onion?
-
This sounds like someone who is just competent. Why would that be a problem?
-
@EverydayMoggie
Oh no reason.
