Richard Stallman's political program speaks out in defense of sexual violence, harassment, and even coercion. Many of those to whom his message appeals are willing to employ harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence to retaliate against those who speak out against him.

Under Stallman's leadership it is this sort of person who our community welcomes into our spaces. This is why our communities are unsafe. We push away women, children, victims of violence, and we create a safe space for violence, harassment, and intimidation to thrive.
Stallman must go. [2/2]

@report_press they always go for the Death Threats, never understanding how it gives their critics legitimacy.

Our report is a collaboration between many people: editors, researchers, and sources, many of whom have been victimized by sexual violence, harassment, and intimidation. We will not be silenced, and we will not be re-victimized by a violent response to speaking the truth -- truth backed up not by our names and reputations, but by 302 primary sources, the public testimonies of a dozen witnesses, and an extensive list of citations.

@Lazarou @report_press also it takes things to a level where even those who aren't too keen on cops or traditional security apparatus might start involving them - and it makes FOSS look generally sketchy compared to proprietary solutions, at least there if the staff dox or threaten their customers (which can still happen) they tend to be identifiable and can be held accountable and fired and/or even nicked...
