@chris Sask polls got it hilariously wrong - and yeah, the rural/urban has been hugely building, it now defines Canadian politics
-
Well i hope they recount that asap

@MatWright Just looking at the polls right now. I can only think that the polls were too heavily weighted in urban or suburban ridings. I don’t see the popular votes getting that tight. Or perhaps more people came out in the rural areas than in previous elections. who knows!

We could be nearing the call for the Sask Party. CBC is projecting SKParty is at 30 elected. Moose Jaw is key. The NDP had hoped to flip that riding but it looks like they are coming up just short.
We are at 89% of voting stations reporting and 15 of the 61 ridings have completed all counting for tonight.

@chris no, I think the rural vote level was the same, the urban didn't show - but there are mail in's - it's BC all over again

@MatWright I don't think it's going to be like BC. It looks like they are about to call it for SK

@LALegault @lowies @ianhecht I don't think it's going to be that close in the end. I expect it to be called tonight by CBC

@chris true, but the PP folks will take that as a big win - next week US election, then Nova Scotia - the theatre continues

@LALegault @lowies @ianhecht CBC is already projecting Sask Party elected in 30 and they pointed to a Moose Jaw riding as being 31. So that's enough to call it. It might still be narrower in seat count, but who leads the government is lessening in question

@LALegault @lowies @ianhecht Watching the CBC broadcast. Eric Grenier was talking about the 31st riding that they're watching.

@LALegault @lowies @ianhecht 30 projected elected in the ridings, no winner yet, but they're watching for a potential #31 in Moose Jaw. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

@chris @LALegault @lowies @ianhecht Ah well. A wave of change in Saskatchewan didn’t seem too likely. Still, the dream was nice.

The CBC reporting that the SK Party is elected in 30 seats. Only 31 needed for a majority. I think we'll be getting a call soon for an SK Party win, but it is still a much closer legislature than before.
Seats Leading (Popular Vote)
SKP: 34 (53.2%)
NDP: 27 (39.1%)
Seats Outstanding: 0
Needed for Majority: 31
