On devices, on browser mastodon, replying opens a publish window, with all but the first account name selected, and typing without first carefully clicking away the selection, deletes all but the first name/handle.

On devices, on browser mastodon, replying opens a publish window, with all but the first account name selected, and typing without first carefully clicking away the selection, deletes all but the first name/handle.
It can be annoyingly difficult to get rid of selection without deleting names.
Is it done on purpose? Is there a code error that can be rewritten? It makes responding always begin with a high attention annoyance.

People constantly spam others' notifications by simply not removing their username when they're no longer relevant to the conversation.

@kevinrns no...🤨I've been here for a year as an admin of my own instance and saw the change occur. When it happened, the main discussion was regarding the issue I mentioned.
I can't really go back and search through thousands of posts to find that discussion.
