Friday Night drinking thoughts: There's only one chook living in the big coop - should I get some ducks? There's four empty bee hives in the shed - should I get some bees?

@KarenWyld I’m always team bees. They’re low maintenance (not zero) and a lot of fun. You get to split the honey!

@shlee all the gear is here (my sons have done the training/have experience, so easy registration process). I'm thinking of raised hives, attached to the wooden fence, to reduce risk of stepping on one. But I'm also quite tempted to try native bees, which live in smaller hives and have no stingers. And it's now legal to sell native honey

@KarenWyld I’ve never seen a large hive of native bees (wasn’t even sure if they did that). Wish I had a larger place to handle it…. Please give me a taste
