Big surprise: the same HMO that's refusing to operate on my hernia because I'm too fat also "forgot" to order needles big enough to give the covid booster to women over 200lbs.

So I can't get the vaccine because you didn't bother getting the needles?
You know what's funny about that? There's two pharmacies in THE SAME HALLWAY! Go to either of them and say "hey, give me some 22 gauge x 1.5" needles"!
-
Last time I got my booster they eventually got the needles, in a second room where they had to go find them, two-three weeks after the initial covid booster availability.

BTW the average weight for a woman in the US is 170 lb.
You only need to be 30lb over the nation average for you to be "too fat" for Kaiser Permanente to not care if you get covid.

........you can give the vax subq, wtf do you mean they don't have the needles big enough

Here's the official CDC pdf if you need to take this to your injection site and make sure they get the right needle:
-
@munin they only do intramuscular for some reason

By the way, the worst part of this is that they're not rejecting people based on weight.
As bad as just turning away all the women over 200lb would be, they're instead just letting them get the booster but with the wrong needle. So now these people think they're vaxxed, but it won't be as effective because it was done wrong!

Kaiser Permanente: "every day we walk the thin line between malicious fatphobia and eugenics"
