The alphabet avatar name game

    In light of our new single letter avatars, I wanted to play a small game that will likely go terribly.

    The rules, you can only post if your avatar is the next letter in the alphabet. From A-Z. If we manage it, I'll sign a photo or something...

    As I'm A, I obviously go first. Next poster needs a B in their avatar, so on and so forth. If anyone messes up, they'll be added to a new group called "Doesn't know their ABCs".

    I see this lasting minutes before it goes wrong... Go!

    @julian unit types are hidden until they fight. the scout needs to know which unit is the actual enemy's base, and if it makes a mistake, it will die. Also, yes the base can be simply covered by any other unit. Scouts only move in a straight line.

    Zone of Control is a GREAT idea, I will look into that. It may come into upcoming versions of the game, but it will need to be play tested first.

    The current rule-set has been play tested with a couple friends for over 250 games and was designed with balance in mind. Try a few games, play a best out of 7 with someone! (like me) 🙂

    Yeah, I don't understand. I think the modal-dialog doesn't have a z-index (which is why I had to change my workaround above to fix it). TBH, if it's fixed in 0.7.0, I'll be happy with just using my workaround until then. A few extra lines of CSS won't kill me.

    Yeah this would be a good plugin. Right now the gravatar subsystem is very tightly integrated with NodeBB, so it's going to take some effort to untangle it 😓
