Burnout has been super bad this week. Every day, when I get home from school, I basically do a few basic chores, and then spend all of my time doing nothing. I stay up late into the night modding games and staring into a void.
I’m behind on homework, and putting off important things I need to do. I feel like a zombie.

@deadsuperhero I've been there, and it's rough. To be honest, I'm never very far from there. I could probably dig up some articles, or share some of my own thoughts, if you're looking for that kind of thing

@jenniferplusplus Thank you ️
I think right now, it’s the feeling of being on a never-ending treadmill, and falling behind on everything. It’s the realization that you’re in the hole and have to make changes, but lacking the energy or willpower to do much.
It’s an open question of “how do you summon the energy to do things, when you also need to slow down and rest?”

@deadsuperhero im sorry to hear, big hug!

@deadsuperhero I mean it's a hard question. The answer has two general themes. One is that whether something is important or necessary is up to you a lot more often than we recognize. There's a lot of things you can just do less, or not at all.
The other is to let your brain do what it wants to do. Burnout is a cognitive repetitive stress injury. Sleep and video games/art/whatever hobby you're into are therapeutic. It's healing, and you should do it without guilt or judgement.

@jenniferplusplus @deadsuperhero That's tough.
Seconding this though. Hope you're able to step away from some of your responsibilities and take the time you need until you feel better.
We're all here rooting for you!
