I am trying to do the same thing. I change the timestamp in mongoDB, but it has no effect on the frontend.
Ps.: I changed the timestamp on topic, post and topics:recent.
Anyone can help me?
I'm changing our site name, and domain. Is it just the config file I need to alter for this to happen?
The server is staying the same and I'll be fine with the Apache side of things. Just wondered if anywhere else on the forum installation itself needs changed.
I guess so. Fixing config should work.
Yup. Everything else is generated dynamically from the URL in config
And your nginx/apache config. That may still point to your old URL.
Thanks guys, wasn't sure if there would have been other bits hidden away which needed changed.
I should be okay with Apache, I hope!
I forgot. If you have a custom "from" email in acp/settings/email then update that as well
Also - if you have added a custom domain for session cookie in acp/settings/advanced you might want to update that one too.
Thanks for the tips, I will check that those don't affect anything - on the whole the domain change was relatively painless.
Apache was absolutely fine, setting up two domains on a single server was far easier than I thought it'd be.
