I could’ve used Linea’s perfect geometric ZipShapes to create his eyes, the dial, the side of his head and so on but I wanted it to have that slight hand-drawn, imperfect feel. Freehanding circles and curves still takes a lot of practice to get right but I also enjoy the challenge. #Inktober #HumanArt #MastoArt #LineaSketch

Day 6: Trek
It’s impossible to overstate how much #StarTrek means to me. I’ve enjoyed it all of my life –It’s molded me as a human being, allowed me to meet wonderful like-minded people and helped pull me through some of the darker times in my life. I cannot image, nor would I want to, a world where Gene Roddenberry had not created Star Trek.
I enjoyed every moment of drawing today’s Inktober, even the hand-lettering Microgramma.

@Batz and I watch The Price Is Right almost every night and there are some games we just love like Plink-O, The Dice Game, Safe Crackers and of course Cliffhangers.

All the Mars rovers are amazing. I’ve had a special place in my heart for Viking since Carl Sagan’s Cosmos as a kid. I loved Carl, but Sojourner is my absolute favorite.
It was the first mobile rover and oh so adorable. It didn’t travel far but boy it sparked my imagination. Figuring out the color palette for this Inktober was tricky but happy with/ how it turned out.

The head start I gave myself for this year’s #Inktober is officially gone. Though I’ve got it sketched, I’ll be drawing tomorrow’s entry on the day. Suppose I should be happy I got half way through the month ahead of the game but still.
