The greater good

Liked this enough to go find the creator. Sharing credit, unlike OP
-
Thank you for sharing the artist's information. Fuck you for being an asshole about it.

Thomas the tank engine says:
"We have left a phrase incomplete in "No masters, no kings!" We neglect "No owners!" We must right the wrongs of history and form a revolution for the proletariat! Eliminate the ownership class! Toot toot mother fucker!"
-
Not sharing it in the first place is way more of a dick move than me calling you out for it.

... Get on the tracks!

The greater good

Agreed. The nerve of using that foul language against your good-willed character. What a tool.

I agree in principle, and overall violent revolution is likely to be a horrible thing for many, but I think the issue for people is that they've tried the peaceful way and get suppressed by every system that exists. Threatening the rich isn't about getting rid of them per se (at least it shouldn't be, because new people will just fill the void) but about applying pressure for those with the most power to enact change to do so, hopefully leading to a less exploitative system.
It's not that hard to keep people happy enough for them to not try to literally murder you, but if you fail at even that, you might have the drive to change it.

unlike OP
This is fucking stupid. The artist's details are included in the image OP shared, exactly as the artist left them. You didn't "go find" shit, you googled a couple words from the image. Grow up. Share a link and say thanks for the post.
-
Not going out of your way to crop the artist's info out is the bare minimum. Friction is everything, if there's a link, there's a way higher chance folks will visit.
-
Ok, double down on the sanctimony—you wouldn't've seen the comic if OP hadn't shared it.
-
I'm glad I saw it, but that doesn't mean OP (and others) can't to better.

To fit with the grim dark setting, the greater good may or may not be foisted upon the Tau masses by a ruling caste through some sort of mind control. The utilitarian space communists might be unknowing slaves, dedicated not to an actual greater good but the ruler's good. And if that is true, that ruling caste may or may not be actually perfectly benevolent truly working for the greater good, having raised the Tau from warring tribes into enlightened space communists. Can't have nice things in the 41st millinium, gets in the way of all that "only war" you know.

Homie just needed that win and to be able to pat themselves on the back before they went and huffed some farts they canned in 2023.

There's a "Brighthammer" fan creation out there that turns 40k into a Nobelbright setting--more like Star Trek. The Tau are bad guys by staying exactly as they are.
