@tek A thing I have learned is that widely understood advice that used to be good hangs on long after it stopped being good. "Don't trust public WiFi" was good advice back in the days before every service was encrypted. Now they all are, but the public doesn't follow these developments as closely as you or I do so the zombie advice shambles on
