I find this mentality disgusting. "Young people bad!"

Yep that's addiction it's hard to recover.

Just made an account on Xiaohongshu and saw literally no Chinese during the process other than the logo. The first Chinese I saw were the titles of videos.

I kind of like the algorithm idea that Neptune) a potential Tiktok replacement) plans on having.
It plans on giving users different sliders, such as:
Following
Friends
Trending
Categories
etc.

Is the sky woke? There's a rainbow in it.

I like rainbows. I don't know what all woke is because it feels like it's everything republicans/MAGA/right-wing/anti-democratic/etc. use to defame something and direct hate towards it anyway. But as I said, it's just a feeling... I don't know what it's really about.

Fediverse fanboys when they realise that their obscure and socially complex software isn't know by many people specially outside of the tech bubble, and that it's not the same experiences that they will get with their known platforms:

My kids use a plethora of short-form video apps, and they also read novels, in addition to hobbies like cooking, knitting, crocheting, mechanical work, etc.
Maybe it's just your kids.

Your comment is another proof that Lemmy/Fediverse is lacking young people

Love your avatar. I miss Netscape. Not that I remember it being awesome or anything. Just nostalgia.

Then decades of sinophobic propaganda melted. It was amazing to watch.

It's mire simple because they have actual designers that design the app to users to use, so it's not that much difficult to navigate, with all the icons and familiar patterns.

I recommend you to censor your name

Anecdotal counterpoint to your anecdote: I work with the age demographic in question and as a group they are struggling with fundamentally simple tasks. There's almost no tech or media literacy, they're terrible at following any form of discussion longer than one paragraph, they don't actually enjoy reading books and (esp. the boys) are some of the most racist, hate-filled pieces of shit I've ever met. Seriously, I weep for the future because the Alphas and young Zoomers are barely fit to dress themselves, let alone participate in society.
... And sure, I might have made all that up just to draw attention to how little your comment actually contributes. I sure might have done that. But anyways, I'm glad your hypothetical kids are decent. You do understand though that your 2.5 kids aren't a representative sample? Right?

Surprise! Not everyone has watched Sesame Street! Either because it wasn't their thing or it wasn't in their region! So please just stop assuming.
