The admin of a server can decide accounts to be automatically suggested to their new signups:

@FediTips @honzajavorek Yes, a list of accounts and hashtags to follow by default (not by a choice) would be a nice MVP version of the feature.

One other thing, if you send out invitations from your server, you can set any signups to automatically follow your account when they sign up:
