@amcvittie even cooking for two is generally just as expensive as getting take away (at least what I cook), so we get take away a lot these days, as I can’t take 20 mins to cook.

@octothorpe if you’re running the whole show, even the 40min to run to the store just feels too expensive when I got order delivery and do something else

@amcvittie and to continue this, most places serve GIGANTIC portions that you can split. For example, we may go to Dig for lunch (fresh food, all made in-house), and split that between lunch and supper. So while one of those meals may be $12–15, I’m getting 4 plates from it. (Also see Chipotle, Chopt, and every other ‘food served in a bowl’ place).
