Love the Aussie Cadbury choc bars in B&M.
-
@bobthomson70 Cheaper here. Thought we were being royally ripped off but seemingly not.
-
@emsquared exchange rate eh? Nearly 2 Oz bucks to a quid.
-
@bobthomson70 when i lived there it wavered between $2.40 to $2.80 which meant that initial visits were quite affordable. It really is an expensive place to live these days.
-
@emsquared must be a lot imported. Like a giant U.K.
-
@bobthomson70 Must be. Not cheap but cheaper than many of the specialist Oz food shops here. When I was young my Bristol based relatives worked in a Cadbury factory and regularly got excess choc incl bars made purely for overseas consumption. Flavours never seen in the UK. I miss the pineapple flavoured Bounty bars I used to get in Oz.
-
@emsquared that sounds quite a nice combo. Makes me think of the old Cabana bar
-
@bobthomson70 that was coconut and cherry?
-
@emsquared yeah maybe rum too? It’s been a long time Nah the other part was caramel it seems
-
@emsquared I used to like a Fuse myself. Very popular and then discontinued for some reason
-
@bobthomson70 remember the name but not what they were like. I loved Super Moose when very young. I can still taste it. Odd exotic taste. Bit like a cross between a milky way and a Mars bar without the toffee caramel layer.
-
@bobthomson70 Blimey remember the advert
-
@emsquared I always like chocolate with nuts and fruit in. Fuse was one of those. I think overall, most people don’t like too many different things in with their chocolate.
-
@emsquared that 80s Turkish delight one is cringey as too. All synth eastern Muzak. Ugh
-
@emsquared best was always the old flake one. Dodgy too but the image of the water colour getting rained on was very British and memorable.
