I read something like "modern Leftists are more concerned with doing nothing wrong than doing anything right" and that really feels a lot like how a lot of Leftists are.

I read something like "modern Leftists are more concerned with doing nothing wrong than doing anything right" and that really feels a lot like how a lot of Leftists are. Strictly performative, but not really trying to change things long-term.
Like an occasional protest at a train station once every few months about the genocide (as in Seattle), or spraypainting shit on a traffic light control box, is not going to materially change anything.

I'm still salty about the protest at Chinatown station in Seattle during *LUNAR NEW YEAR* over Palestine. Like holy shit these people are fucking tone-deaf as Hell. It is a fucking holiday for a historically extremely oppressed minority, and yet they're claiming solidarity with a people they've never met, who live in a place they've never been, whilst disregarding the minorities they live amongst. Just... what. If this was part of a sustained protest, fine... but it was a one-off. Like one of the very boring protests we have every few months that close the station and just annoy people. You know how you *don't* get people on your side? Mildly inconveniencing them for a day.
