Shopping for a replacement colour laser printer for my dying Lexmark cs410dn. Equivalent replacement cs431dw is about $420, but the prices of supplies is horrifying. $200 for "small" 1.5k pages toners (4) or $400 for "large" 7k, and I see various disclaimers about region-locked toners.
These seem to have really increased in price.
I don't print much, but avoid inkjets because the inks always dry out and inkjet business practices are even worse.

@furicle hmmm, I believe the imaging unit IIRC. I did a test and measured the distance between defects. The replacement was $400 so planned to replace the whole thing. Was printing some other stuff today and it was showing additional symptoms, I think it's probably time for it to retire.
