@codemonkeymike This smells like click bait to me. They will not kill unofficial ways to install software like Homebrew. Developers who rely on tools like that are a core part of their user base.

Edit: The source he links is Bryan Lunduke who I trust about as far as I can throw him. I am going to do more research and maybe even verify on my work Mac before believing this.

@sam @codemonkeymike yeah, why would they try to prevent people from doing their development in with tools that they have no way to control and make money from?

Also: why wouldn't they do something like this? I doubt Apple could seriously cause a mass exodus at this point. Most people i know who use their product would drink Tim Cook's urine, and praise the vintage. Most of them, a few would def leave if this happened, but not most.
