Open Graph question

@mahryekuh That looks correct to me.
FWIW, namespaces in XML rarely resolve but they are a still a good marker / "tell" for knowing that something uses opengraph or whatever protocol they are trying to embed.
-
@webology Thanks! I have added the namespace as described above.
-
@mahryekuh So much of the web is mostly made-up shit that somehow works.
-
@webology That is too true.
-
@webology @mahryekuh Replace "the web" with "life", and I think we're on to something!
-
-
@mahryekuh Huh. I've evaluated the mark-up of thousands of webpages and I don't think I've ever seen this in my life. This attribute on the html tag specifically, that is; I've obviously seen all the other OpenGraph stuff in meta tags and such.
-
@jscholes Yeah, I also missed it in the documentation for years!
It does something pretty neat, though: You can add a mapping of namespaces to their semantic vocabulary, which can be used to identify custom meta tags.
It is part of the specs for RDFa (Resource Description Framework in Attributes).

@jscholes I found this on StackOverflow, so of course it's true.
Meaning of HTML prefix attribute (Open Graph Protocol)?
I'm new to Facebook Open Graph Protocol. I have been trying to figure out what the meaning of the HTML prefix attribute is. The closest post on Stack Overflow I could find dealing with this subject...
Stack Overflow (stackoverflow.com)

@mahryekuh For what practical purpose, though?

@jscholes Documentation, probably, or interpretation?
I haven't looked into it much further; was already happy to be done with this dang Open Graph mess.
