So y'all realize that anti-trans bills don't just harm trans people,
don't just harm queer kids,
don't just harm women,
but make everyone systemically unsafe, right?
Because the corollary to policing femininity and who is "allowed" to be a woman?
Is that you're also policing who is "allowed" to be a man as well.
A lot of folks have been focusing on how this means that, e.g., postmenopausal women, women with PCOS, women who are butch or otherwise not fully "gender conforming", and children will be harassed and harmed,
but y'all men are now on the chopping block too now. Because now -you- are going to be suspect if you don't conform to a very rigid and straitlaced presentation of masculinity; you're going to end up policing yourself and others constantly to make sure that you're "normative enough" that, for instance, your republican neighbor won't decide you're a danger to -his- masculinity.
Not to mention the very practical consequence of, e.g., women who are being forced to use the men's bathroom are gonna be carrying pepper spray or other weapons.
