35 years ago today in 1989 (my journal tells me), Prince of Persia "red box" flats came in from the printer. I got to take one home!
Less than 1% of players actually saw the game in this box. Did you? (It was used for Apple II, Amiga, and PC releases in U.S., Spain, Germany, Israel & Greece.)

Coda: Artist Robert Florczak gifted the original oil painting to his friend Kevin Nealon, a Saturday Night Live cast member who'd posed for the Vizier. It was sold at auction last year for $63,000.
As for me, I framed that first box flat and hung it on my wall.
