@km @kariboka I don't. I follow Fediblock and check out the instances they post about and block them if I feel it's necessary.

@kariboka @km relays carry many different types of people and I can't control exactly what comes through. Also, I am not on Akkoma, so my interface for that isn't very clean. I can only see per instance and I'd have to add them all up.
Though, I clear out accounts I don't interact with, once a week to save space on profile pics and headers.

That’s a good practice, I will learn if I can do the same here.

@kariboka It's definitely good that I can do that, otherwise I feel I'd have like 50-100 gb of *just* profile pics and headers.
I'm not sure if Akkoma has that ability, though I always wonder which ones do and don't because I'm always thinking of getting off of Mastodon.
Sharkey did not have that ability when I used it back in May. However, they did have the ability to not have media cache at all, and pull from the original instance as needed.

@kariboka ah, I don't think media is normally saved to the database.
So if you're not using much more than that on the entire disk, I would guess that media isn't cached there either.️

@BeAware hmm other than that I have only the local uploads. But there is a cache because I had to set a subdomain only for this (all images here are under cache.harpia.red) for instance your profile pic

@kariboka well, since you have a subdomain, I'd guess that it's somewhere on your server, unless you have cloud storage setup with S3 or something. I do, but the way mastodon has it integrated, it's like no difference between local or cloud to clear it out. Same commands.
