I'm addition to this, one day we're gonna have a serious conversation about how politicians can see that doing what's "popular" with voters doesn't actually result in more votes. Like it's a loose correlation at best. Being honest with ourselves about what incentives we actually create might help us make a change. But I have a feeling that day is not today.
