This isn't a detail in the name of the agency archer works at, this is a top 10 most famous Vidya game character of all time.

Doubtful considering he's a central player to the Mario brand, they're the Mario Bros. and he's the brother.
What you're suggesting is on the level of Walking Dead deciding to no longer have zombies, for Marvel to retire the concept of super heroes altogether, or for John Wick movies to no longer have guns.
Besides Nintendo's had other characters in harsh spotlights before. Jynx and Porygon for example, still regularly feature in Pokemon games, and they didn't retire Typhlosion either even with the Pokemon leaks. Actually they've literally never retired any Pokemon ever.
At worse they'll just block people on twitter who share Luigi Mangione memes using the Nintendo character.
As for renaming Luigi. laughs They literally have multiple spinoffs named after him (Mario & Luigi, Luigi's Mansion, Dr. Luigi), it'd be a PR and branding nightmare. It'd be like changing the name of America itself.
If Luigi were a minor side character (like Toadsworth, a character they actually did retire for unknown reasons), maybe, but uhh... no.

What was wrong with Typhlosion?

But it's fine if a hero do all those things?

The other person already said they probably won't do it. The name is too central to their brand to change it or back off. I would be curious if we see anything to emphasize his last name somewhere though.
Just like a "hey everyone this is Luigi MARIO a very distinct character not based on any real person!"

This reminds me of a meme:
– Benny? Bring me everyone...
– What do you mean everyone?
– EVERYONE! -

Did they drop the "teenage" part so that Prince Andrew would stop trying to book them for parties?

Umm, that’s a weird link to quordle answers…

I know we're informally calling Luigi Mangione the Adjuster, so that makes sense to me. But what "The Adjuster" are people picking Luigi for in this meme supposedly? Is there a video game where the main character is an Adjuster?

OK that's weird. It was something else. Maybe the link changed while scrolling. I hate the modern Web.

I love the idea that someone was working on a Luigi's Haunted Mansion sequel when they saw the search metrics on "Luigi" go absolutely nuts and when they found out why were like "Oh... oh nooooo..."

Are we sure it was him yet?

They probably mean that they use pictures of Nintendo Luigi in memes about the shooting (in place of pictures of the human Luigi), not that people select Luigi as a character more often in a certain video game.
