@wall_e @medley56 It's signed as in I signed the ballot before scanning it. It's also signed with DKIM, but the private key will be automatically published in a few days as is customary.
Per my mail server logs (yes, I hate myself) it went through a Fortinet system.
Washington state does not have anonymous ballots, period. It's all vote by mail, there are no polling places. Given that, sending the ballot via email doesn't seem materially worse.

@ryanc @wall_e @medley56 tbf paper washington ballots are at least somewhat anonymous - they remove the ballot (in the security sleeve) from the envelope after verifying your signature, at which point your ballot can’t be traced back
obviously this doesn’t help if someone intercepts your ballot in the mail or something, though
