I have discovered that a decade of not keeping tabs on your personal finances makes things somewhat fucky.

I have three different bank accounts exported to CSV, and then imported into Google docs *just so I can get the data clean and consistent enough to import*.
-
Of course the data from Deutsche Bank is the worst of the lot. It doesn’t provide “real” CSV data for more than 120 days. Beyond that it’s a filthy mishmash of items that can only be obtained from their “financial planning” app.
-
Firefly III itself looks pretty good. I shall enjoy (enjoy? really?) using it once I have some usable data.
-
In fact, I’m open to hearing about *personal* experiences with using self-hosted financial tracking software. Are there any you would recommend? #finance #OpenSource #selfhosting

@whalecoiner
I tried FF, but didn't find it great for my use case. I also couldn't get it to pull from my open banking provider.Ended up going bank to manual entry on GNUCash and a big spreadsheet.
