Welcome ex-Redditors!
-
I caught a 7 day ban in microblog memes for "whataboutism" after I pointed out that leftists were not responsible for the democrat's loss, their actions would have been wildly unpopular whether we told them or not.
-
In Canada, we have a conservative named Pierre Poilievre that makes nonsensical catch phrases like that every month or so. Kinda reminds me of that
-
You cannot make this shit up.
Really? Seems like you can and did.
-
Huh, that sounds pretty bad, let me look that up. Oh wait, it's a total lie.
My personal opinion, for those who are interested, is that these two instances (Hexbear and Lemmygrad) are filled with what we call here nazbols, tankies, or even left-wing fascists.
"It came from the statement made in the thread that hexbear was 'aggressively pro-trans,' which seemed quite disgusting and fetishizing to me. This aligns with the rest of the authoritarian theme of the instance, you might say, having the perspective that one must make a superhuman effort to allow a minority to use a space."
-jlai.lu admin's vichy ass.

I'm sorry, I wasn't intentionally trying to misgender you, in my native language the equivalent of "dude" is gender neutral.
But you know what is internationally considered rude and uneducated? Focusing on small details of what someone says to devert from the main argument. Also referring to oneself in third person... -
"tankie" is so broadly defined that it also includes anarchists and non-western liberals.
I'm referring to what they said, not some other insult.

Words are defined by common use.
-
Don't worry Redditors.. it's the same "the Right sucks, and the Left can do no wrong" rhetoric you hear over there...
-
Methinks there might be a culture war/defederation covert campaign being done by more right or even just regular liberal users.
That or I'm being paranoid.

"/c/" doesn't tell us much. I assume you mean [email protected]? Try
-
Try criticizing .ml on an .ml sub and you'll start to taste the authoritarianism
-
Imma be honest, I don't think .ml belongs on there. Their users can be pretty cool.

I meant that one, my bad

If I were criticizing various nations more than the U.S., I wouldn't shame people for "authoritarian bootlicking". Glass houses and all that.
-
Again, despite claims to the contrary, tankie for most people means "anything left of the Democrats, or willingness to break with US foreign policy."

And critically, not just since Trump. As soon as the ink dried on the Nazi surrender, the US and OSS/CIA armed and funded every fascist they could find since fascists are the most dedicated anti-communists.

Welcome

They really are a community of nice people trying to protect their peace, as far as I've seen. They just defederated from instances with open registration due to influx of trolls, and a lot of users from those groups got offended over it. It was minor drama, but nothing offensive. It's a bit sad that they're still being vilified over it.
Got my account and started reading and posting today, and you're right, they are nice people. I had somehow mixed up Beehaw and Hexbear in my head. Big mistake.
I may end up moving over there as primary just because I'm so tired of the trolls myself.

Yiffit was never federated with any of them, none of them federate with porn instances.
