Fuck WordPress.

Fuck WordPress.
That is all.
Use something else. Supporting such a vile company like Automattic and CEO like Mullenweg only furthers the abuse from corporations like this.
Stop using WP.
I'm keeping my site up, but I haven't posted there for months and won't until they fix their shit.

@seth they're financially bound by contract, obviously... 🤨
WordPress.com wouldn't be able to sue a company on behalf of Wordpress.org without their blessing, would they?
-
@morph thanks. I've been struggling with motivation for a lot of things lately.
I should post soon.

@BeAware My last blog post was in May.
-
@morph that makes me feel a bit better. Maybe post something this weekend.

@seth I don't know what's happening behind the scenes besides that they're obviously aligned in this.
They (.com) wouldn't be able to sue without consent from .org.
.com doesn't own the trademark, they own the license to the trademark.
They don't have the right to tell any other company they can't use the trademark without permission from the trademark holder.
Now, I firmly believe they're only allowing them to do this because Automattic is a massive company now. So basically they can throw their money around to manipulate.
It seems to be exactly what they're doing all around. Financial manipulation.
