Colonel Percy Wyndham. Died on this day in 1879.
An Englishman who fought in the American Civil War for the Union.
When angry, he twiddled his outrageous moustache.
Cause of death? Demonstrating a self-designed hot-air balloon which exploded mid-flight over a lake in Rangoon.
