@nicholasr @alienghic I am obviously on the fediverse... and I use fb bc that's where most of my community is, where I get a ton of social and personal support, and where I get local gift economy connections that keep our baby clothed + get us lots of baby gear. Leaving meta isn't practical for everyone. Doesn't mean I can't be active here as well.

Also, if I were leaving I'd be looking for better options than pixelfed/loops which are run by a problematic racist ‍️

@nicholasr @alienghic i've been seeing a number of critiques of dansup, I don't have all of them on hand but I think the biggest issue is that he rejects teamwork that might lead to accountability, so I don't have high hopes for his platforms. Not saying they wouldn't be better than meta, but that we can look to better leadership if we're going to shift to a new space
