Here are my overarching points today:

Non-modifiable factors:
1. Putin / Thiel are who they are, they are going to do what they are going to do.
2. Some people are racist and misogynist and want to vote for the fascist, and wont choose the Law & Order Establishment fash lite person over a chaos-loving fascist.

Modifiable factors:
1. Housing costs 1,800 times the cost of housing in Rockford Illinois for the entire state of California is a choice.
2. Prison labor endorsement & acting on criminalizing the homeless is a choice.
3. Not engaging in open counterwarfare with the moneyed interests like FDR advocated for is a choice.
4. Maintaining inequality as is makes people much more likely to look for Othered folk & scapegoats and to do the bidding of Thiel/Putin.

@hannu_ikonen Ah, but consider that if Putin were to appear in a personal audience with his maker and not come back, there would be another to take his place, and if Phiel were to have an unfortunate accident with one of his immortality potions or something, there would be no more Phiel. They're not the same.
