We really don't think table elements should have selectable anything? Like a checkbox in its own cell in the first column of a row?
I always thought more about separating more along the lines of complexity not strict read-only vs interactive

@tdelmas yeah I have always thought that’s fine.
But I also thought row selection (in the form of checkboxes) was also okay
I know it works but seeing the language in the spec has me wondering. I might need to file an issue for clarity.
