@vwbusguy I used to buy everything new, but at some point I figured if you can fix it, why not use the old thing? It's also good for my budget. I'd have to pay at least $2,000 for a new decent one, fixing this one was $200.
New bikes look nice, but I'll ride my old ones for a few more years. -

@sesivany I was pleasantly surprised at how relatively cheap old bikes are to maintain. You can get a set of cables for $5 on Amazon and your standard screwdriver and wrench set is generally all you need for some things, if even that.
