I'm just thinking about intersexphobia tonight, and the thought of someone doing something to modify my body before I can even reasonably fucking consent much less form coherent thoughts hurts so fucking deeply

I can't fucking imagine having a part of me ripped away because someone decided my gender at birth and performed surgery, what the ACTUAL fuck is wrong with the medical system?

@liliththehellhound I'm not intersex myself, but when I found out about such practices, I was so, so disgusted by the healthcare sector. They permanently alter (to put it more generously; more like harm honestly) a baby's body for no reason other than to make them fit in one of two buckets. Wtf.

Of course, when you consider all of the right-wing's rhetoric over trans people, it becomes doubly worse. Trans people? Can't have them change their bodies, not even reversibly. Intersex people? Fuck 'em, knives away!
