The big problem with macro shots is the shallow depth of field. Counter-intuitively the small sensor in a phone is an advantage because the physics says the smaller the sensor, the greater the depth.
A phone is less intimidating, causes less crashing through the undergrowth and is easier to hold still.
This shot is sharpest where the wings attach, giving an almost microscopic quality.
It is a drone hoverfly (Eristalis tenax) similar in size to a wasp.
