is "barkeeper" really "Barkeeper" in german, like laserkraft 3D claim?

@owl General English 'keeper' translates to 'Halter', cognate with 'holder', in German. A bookkeeper is a Buchhalter, for an example.
But these days, I think everybody who speaks German is likely to recognise the English 'barkeeper' and related words.
