I want a modulator laptop with no soul.
-
@RueNahcMohr that'd be cool. I saw a presentation from Tim Paterson where he talked about doing that in order to get a cheap computer terminal
-
@foone I understood that reference.
-
@Unixbigot of course. after all, 90% of all references about "90% of all X" are about sturgeons law.
-
@foone have you considered an IBM 172317X? Might not meet your "use in bed" requirement but it does have a real keyboard and no batteries.
-
@th yeah! but I'd have to modify it so much that I'm probably better off starting with a laptop
-
@[email protected] i’m sorry is that the desktop version of Excel (2016? 2019? idk) running on that phone
-
@bye yup!
-
@[email protected] that has to be photoshopped…right
-
@bye pretty sure yeah
-
@foone like a barebone PC?
-
@gkrnours nope, that's too much computer. I mean like a display + keyboard
-
@foone but that's too much computer with no keyboard nor screen. With big budget, I would add one of these articulated arm to hold a screen above your bed and one of these tray to take breakfast in bed to put a keyboard on it.
-
@gkrnours yeah that would be cool! but my budget is way, way lower.
-
@foone I feel this in my bones.
Laptop keyboards from Lenovo which switch Fn and Ctrl also even anger the devil.
-
@ppxl yep. First rule for my next laptop keyboard: it cannot have a function key. Having a function key means you failed at making a keyboard
