@jenesuispasgoth @thisismissem there's a "no" answer in the poll, so I think your case is covered. If you're not currently celebrating Labour Day because you celebrate it some other day, you have an option to choose.
-
It depends on how you define celebrate.
-
@evan I mostly wait until May 1 but since everything is closed and many of my friends have the say off, I said "Qualified No"

@evan Strong no. My family has a tradition of celebrating International Workers Day on May 1. The US going against this solidarity is problematic.
-
@jessamyn so, this end of summer weekend is otherwise uninteresting? No trips, picnics, BBQs?
-
Working non stop. Having a very non Labor Day weekend.

@vacapinta are you allowed to call it Summer's End or Back To School Weekend, and just enjoy the day?

@evan I'm in NL but I call it US Colleagues won't Bug Me Day and took the chance to check up on in-laws here in Lisbon!

@vacapinta oh nice!
-
@evan If, by "celebrating", you mean heading to the in-laws' cottage for probably the last time this year (kids' school and other commitments are now getting in the way), then hell yes. Otherwise, I guess it's just another long weekend.
-
@steve that sounds pretty good!
-
@evan Qualified yes. I enjoy the day off and do some barbecuing. That's celebrating for me.
-
@mpjgregoire that's the best thing in life.
-
@evan qualified yes only because it meant we could get together on a Sunday with another couple and let our dogs play while grilling and drinking beer.

@gam3 Why is it either-or? Do you only get to take one day off per year?

Driving home now. Strong yes.

@rickscully that sounds like a pretty good celebration
