@iamimperfect @benpate Yeah, definitely need to be able to add more text to events. A free text field would do which ends up in the body of the toot. Just so we can put a bit about it and the other bands etc.

Free text field, real dates and locations, and maybe an image. Do you think that would do?
You’re the first person to really use these events, which were intentionally underpowered when we got started. So thank you for being brave.
I’ll get these sorted out as quick as I can. I’d actually appreciate taking a break from “the eternal search engine” project.

A paraphrase of the stuff that I use on thegothcalendar is:
Date start*, doors open time, Date finish, doors close, event name*, description, venue name*, venue address, price*, link to ticket, featured image/flyer
This way people can plan their day around that event, find out who else is playing AND buy a ticket! I put a * on the things that I'd consider required.
