Go to Tags - Search
Press any letter, let's say "n". The system filters the tags and displays only those that have the letter "n" in it. So far so good.
Press Backspace and the system does not display the entire list of tags again.

Ah so it only affects mobile. Please open an issue on our github tracker.

go to /admin/appearance/customise
add this
save and check if it's good.
I am aware that one can subscribe to tags rss (no rss button around tags though). But can user set notification on selected tags as well? It would be good to have such features. Thanks

URL is now q&a. Assuming because & gets run through the next line in your fix, which removes the ;.
