Mastodon users whingeing about features they don't have compared to <EXTERNAL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM> when right here in the Fedi we have, like, six better options I can name off the top of my head, is probably going to be the end of me.

I think they need some help lifting their eyes beyond the narrow confines of the hairy elephant. I am therefore assigning myself the job of Fedi Platform ambasssdor. Brace yourselves.

I will say, Mastodon vanilla has some features that make it much easier to use than Misskey or Lemmy or Pleroma or whatever. I think that's why it's the most popular.

That said, people should look at what forks like Glitch do with it. Honestly, more servers should look into running forks of it.
