    I was thinking of making this plugin if nobody's already done so. Would just need to observe filter:post.save and purge to remove the history entries. It'd be nice to store just the diffs to save space, if there's already a library to handle diff->json and json back to applying a diff.

    One concern I'd have is being able to display an edit history gui for a post that is theme agnostic. Not sure there's a way to do that? A modal with custom styling might be the best option in that case.

    In fact, this was a feature requested eons ago! gh#149

    Let me know if you find a nice library to handle diffs 🙂

    Hi All,
    I'm a newbie in nodebb. I'm not understand the layout logic nodebb in nodebb.
    Actually I have a two feature need to change the template.

    I would like to update active user widget: I need to add username under the avator box. I would like to update the perrmission from nodebb-plugin-calendar: only admin can see the event response.

    I found the template in the plugins folder and change the template tpl code. And also re-build the nodebb. However the layout a still not updated. May I know what is the correct method to make a small changes in nodebb and how to update the template layout ?

    In general, yes. We try to not muck around with existing installs too much, but plugins are a little more fast and loose with things like this. Will keep it in mind 😄

    Are there any plugins or other composers where you can create a set of fields/parameters that have to be entered to post, in an attempt to create like an ebay like listing where they have to enter name, descriptions, price, photos, etc?

    I'm only doing this because I am really familiar with their node.js implementation, and even then, I'm still rather lost.

    @bentael Unless you are running on an SSL forum, there is no way to iframe their interface without "warning messages". At least, that was the case last time I tried (last year or so). I'll do some research into it and will include an iFrame if they allow it.

    @BarveyHirdman Currently, there is one limitation, being that you have to manually map the location of the newrelic.js file to the nodebb-plugin-newrelic location. I'm trying to see if I can ship a modified version of New Relic node.js implementation with this, but it has a proprietary license. I'll contact them to see if I can do what I need.

    @planner Graylog2 seems very interesting. However, New Relic is an external service and can measure things such as speed more accurately, not to mention that you don't have to host it (my reasons to use it anyway). I will keep an eye on Graylog2, though.

    Update: Got the outline of the app ready to go. Gonna read up on node.js and javascript in general before I add the finishing details. Expect to be done by the next 2 or 3 weeks.
