Where are they going to get permission to land?
And what if they don't get permission to leave again for another load?

@wdlindsy
I lived through a downfall that Prof Snyder is trying to explain, Venezuela. Yes trump can find the tens of thousands loyalist he wants by bribing them with better money than anyone else, but the whole American economy will crash, crash in a way America have never seen before in any depression. And obviously the world economy will suffer too.
Needless to say that “ Yes sir” people can’t run a country, they are there to please the dictator. I live through that in Venezuela. -

All of Trump's plans are funded by some of the richest people on the planet.
Trump's agenda is their agenda.
Now ask what do they get in return?
Jan Koum & Miriam Adelson aren't funding Trump just for a Netanyahu genocide. There's a foreign policy objective that risks world war.
As spending by Jewish PACs soar, two billionaires give GOP group major fundraising advantage
New campaign finance data shows Miriam Adelson and WhatsApp founder fueling Republicans, while Democratic billionaires give smaller sums.

@wdlindsy Nobody mentions resistance from millions of businesses that can't afford to lose their key employees.
Is Trump going to clean the rooms at Mar a Lago himself? Also, Trump and Vance will have to look for new wives.

Hey, at least that vastly underestimated pain on the rest of us will help Trump get out of debt, and Elon Musk will be twice as rich as Jeff Bezos!
It's not without an upside!

@Twitter_expat Thank you for your first-hand, from-the-spot testimony. It's valuable. You're right: what you experienced in Venzuela follows a clear trajectory sketched by Snyder, and it will happen in the US if fascism wins the day.

@EricLawton Lots of logistical questions here, aren't there? Mind-boggling ones about a threatened operation that is beyond inhumane....

@jaythurbershow That's a big factor, especially for the well-educated and well-heeled folks who keep voting for Trump, like the crowd that gathers around Wall Street Journal. They love to pretend that the fears of what Trump will do -- and he's told us exactly what he'll do -- are overblown.

@vruz Well-stated and very well-noted.

@wondrng1 Of course markets won't correct. You're right about that, for sure. The system will be smashed so that it can then be swallowed whole by the oligarchs who want to benefit at everyone else's expense.

@SoftwareTheron I suspect there's a Plan B.

@vruz Not without an upside, for sure.

@shuttersparks And that makes it all the more incomprehsible that the richest business owners in America are refusing to come out in support of Harris, most of them. I can only think that either they believe Trump won't do what he's promised to do or they themselves will somehow be insulated from the fallout.
