@DrTeflon unfortunately there REALLY doesn't seem to be one i've been looking myself for literally years now, and there's fucking NOTHING, the only stuff that's out there looks like it was made in 1995 (which most of them were!)
so it's either that, or some web-based SaaS bullshit that's like $10/month and loaded with AI crap, because it's 2024

@lashman You know, I dont mind paying, IF IT WASNT FOR THE AI BULLSHIT!
-
@DrTeflon i don't mind paying either ... for a proper offline desktop app! i would pay a lot in fact! but definitely not for online-only bullshit, and not for web-based crap, and DEFINITELY not fucking monthly, eat my entire ass greedy bastards.

@Rockerz yeah, exactly the only half-decent RSS reader i found so far is Reeder, but not only is it ios-exclusive (gross), but also it's now abandoned, and the new version is subscription-only (because of-fucking-course)
the whole RSS situation is beyond dire, sadly

@lashman @DrTeflon Inoreader is good (I use it), with a decent free tier and a good value for the subscription (fetching RSS feeds costs money, Iβm fine with paying for that when I get sync and filters etc.), no AI bullshit, plus theyβre on the fediverse :3 @Inoreader
